"Growing in knowledge, rooted in Christ"

Nature

We at CTV Lutheran School offer your child a rich outdoor environment, including expansive grassy areas, a playground, and a sandbox in which to romp and play.  Seasonally, we enjoy exploring meadows, orchards and a pond, and looking closely at a variety of wildflowers, plants, trees, birds and other small creatures.  Different types of seeds yield a wide array of plants that we germinate in the classroom and later tend in our Children’s Garden.  Close-up examination of items such as cones, shells and leaves, trains us to be observers – to see beauty in the detail and order of the created world.  We make friends with even the smallest creatures, such as bees, ants, spiders, worms, snails and ladybugs.  We watch the metamorphosis of caterpillars into butterflies, culminating in an annual Butterfly Release Day.
