We believe that every child comes to us with innate creative abilities and a sensitivity to the beauty of the natural and created world. It’s never too early to expose them to the best in art, music and books. Children often communicate their deepest thoughts through artistic expression- and we have found that they have a lot to say! Each day children are given multiple ways to express themselves. At a point in their life when they may not yet be able to adequately express themselves verbally or in writing, paint, clay and blocks are a way for them to speak without words. To create is to take risk and to sometimes fail. It can be frustrating, but there is a joy that comes from unique creative expression. Classroom art may include: drawing, painting, sculpting, building, writing, singing, music making, dancing and dramatic play.
